Career guidance

What should you do after you graduate? What are the options and how can you maximise your opportunities on the job market? Leiden University believes it is important that alumni get off to a good start after graduating. The Student Career Service is there to give you advice and guidance.

Career guidance for alumni

As an alumnus you can come to the Student Career Service for career guidance for up to one year after graduation. A session with one of the career counsellors is free of charge. For workshops you pay the student rate.

Alumni from the faculties of the Humanities and Law have access to careers advice within their own faculties for up to half a year after graduating, after which point they can make an appointment at the Student Career Service (up to a year after graduation). Students from other faculties can go to the Student Career Service immediately after graduating (up to one year after graduation).
